VICTOR EMANUEL NATURE TOURS

We are now working closely with one of the best known bird tour companies in North America, Victor Emanuel Nature Tours (VENT) who will be designing and leading our Hawaii Tour scheduled for March of next year. They employ the best collection of tour leaders found across the globe and have opened all of their tour offerings to our membership. Please, visit them at their website to see the incredible collection of tours that they offer. If you find a tour for which you would like to register, contact us first so that we can let VENT know that they should give us credit for signing you on. They will then give a portion of your trip fee back to Connecticut Audubon Society to support our Environmental Education and Conservation projects.

FAMILY RATES

Family travel can be some of the most joyful and cherished experiences of our lives. Perhaps you can remember how a journey somewhere helped shape your own life, or helped create memories and understanding and love among family members. I know that holds true for many of us at CAS. But if you've ever traveled with your family to some of the world's wild places, you already know that there is no experience that brings people closer together. There's a real thrill that accompanies discovering wildlife and meeting people from different cultures in a friendly, easy way. That's the kind of atmosphere we try to create for families on all of our tours.

Please, call for special family rates.

The Connecticut Lakes

May 29 - June 1, 2008     4 Days!

Explore the headwaters of The Connecticut River. Connecticut Lakes Region is wonderfully unique in many ways. It is a pristine region at the very tip of New Hampshire offering unlimited, unspoiled wilderness. This is the center of the North Country’s fishing and hunting. Here the mighty Connecticut River is born, forming in it’s passage the Third, Second and First Connecticut Lakes and Man-made Lake Francis. The historic “Indian Stream Territory” was once an independent nation established in 1832 during the border dispute between Canada and the United States. Pittsburg township is the largest in the US, containing over 300,000 acres of timberland, mountains, lakes, streams and forest trails. Birds may include Spruce Grouse, Black-backed Woodpecker, Alder Flycatcher, and more. Come experience nature at its best. Fee: $798. Leader: Andy Rzeznikiewicz.
