RESERVATIONS
Reservations can be made for Day Trips using Visa or
MasterCard by phone, sending your card number with the
expiration date, or by check. Overnight Tours are payable
by check. Please call before sending money to check
on trip availability.
PAYMENT
DAY TRIPS: Payment is due in full to reserve
your spot. Reservations must be made for all day trips.
Sign-up early because there is limited space.
OVERNIGHT
TRAVEL
Please check the individual itineraries
for the deposit required to reserve a spot.
REFUNDS
DAY TRIPS: No refunds, transfers, or credits
can be granted. If the trip is canceled by Connecticut
Audubon Society (CAS), credit will be given toward the
rescheduled trip, another upcoming day trip, or an overnight
travel program.
OVERNIGHT
TRAVEL: Unless specified differently in the
trip itinerary, refunds are granted 60 days prior to
departure for trips 3 nights or less in length, minus
$100, and 90 days prior to departure for longer travel,
minus $200. After those dates, no refund can be granted.
If the tour is canceled by CAS, a full refund will be
granted.
SINGLE
TRAVELER
Single travelers are encouraged to sign up early to
give them the best chance at being matched. If matching
is not possible, the single supplement will apply (check
the tour itinerary for price).
SMALL
GROUPS
CAS reserves the right, if registration is insufficient,
to cancel any trip or to offer the trip with a small
group supplement.
INSURANCE
If you would like travel insurance, give us a call and
we can put you in touch with those providers who make a contribution supporting our environmental education programs.
EXTENDED
TRAVEL
If you would like to stay on in an area after the scheduled
tour or go early and meet up with us, we can help with
those arrangements. Please advise us at the time of
registration so proper flight scheduling, hotel arrangements,
etc., can be made.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT
OF RISK
We ask you to acknowledge that there is an element of
risk in any adventure, travel, sport, or activity associated
with the outdoors. We trust that you know of the inherent
risks, dangers, and rigors associated with travel in
the outdoors, travel in foreign countries, the risk
of travel by air, car, boat, bus, or other vehicles,
the risk of disease or illness, and all that is encountered
in the natural world and areas of civilization.
ITINERARY
AND PRICING
CAS reserves the right to make changes in the published
itinerary whenever, in its judgment conditions warrant.
Costs are subject to change due to changes in airfares,
currency fluctuations, or other cost increases. CAS
reserves the right to withdraw without penalty any tour
that it has scheduled and announced. CAS is not responsible
for expenses incurred by trip registrants as a result
of the tour cancellation (for example: non-refundable
air tickets).
SISTER
ORGANIZATIONS
If you are member of an organization such as The Nature
Conservancy, National Audubon, COA, Connecticut River
Museum, among others, you are then eligible to travel
with CAS EcoTravel on overnight tours at CAS Members’
prices. Give us a call!
NONMEMBERS
Nonmembers may add $40 (single) or $55 (family) to the
tour price for a one year membership with Connecticut
Audubon Society.
OTHER
TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES
If dates for our tours do not work for you, or there
is a tour that you are looking for but do not see listed,
we are able to provide you with many natural history
destinations through Churchill Nature Tours, Collette
Tours, Quark Expeditions, and many others. They will make
a donation to Connecticut Audubon Society when you sign
up for one of their tours through us.
CUSTOM
AND PRIVATE TOURS
We also offer you custom tour design assistance, including
private tours for you, your family, or a private group.
Give us a call if you would like more information on
these special services.
